One Direction Tickets Dropping In Price On Secondary Market As 5 Seconds Of Summer Prepares To Takeoff

Just a day before starting the North American leg of the "Where we are" tour, the average price of tickets for One Direction is falling on the secondary market. With the gross proceeds from tickets purchased at face value, "Where are we" could still be one of the most successful tours of all time, but overall the average price on all dates in the secondary market has fallen by 7% in just the last week.

According to TiqIQ, the average price of "Where we are" is currently $ 181.70 on the secondary market. The tour is set to kick off with back-to-back concerts in Toronto Rogers Centre Friday and Saturday. The combined average for both programs is $ 114.12, 37% below the average journey. Prices are to be in an even bigger compared to the regular price for One Direction concert, with a low price of $ 19 on Friday and $ 25 Saturday business.

Some of this decline in prices is due to many tour stops having a second show in a place that does not match the selling price of the first. On average, the secondary market price for the second concert in a place is 13% lower than the average price of the first concert. The biggest price difference in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field. The first concert on August 13 has an average price of $ 147.89, which is still 18.6% lower than the average tour. The concert the next night has an average price of only $ 97.62, 34% lower than the night before and 46.3% below the average journey. Back-to-back concerts at Ford Field in Detroit have similar decreased $ 134.94 first night next to $ 94.67, down 29.8%.
No two shows every night are discounted, however. Concerts in major markets such as MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Chicago's Soldier Field have two touring shows with above average prices in the secondary market. Still, the get-in price at MetLife Stadium is relatively low at $ 30 and $ 42 compared to over $ 100 get money in both concerts was in May.

These price declines come as tour openers 5 seconds of summer is starting to take off. The band has announced dates for their headlining tour called "Rock out with Your Sock Out", which is set to begin next summer. While the concerts will be played mostly in arenas and stadiums than half the size of One Direction set to title, the first 5 seconds of summer tickets on the secondary market have an average price of $ 207.78 through 30 dates scheduled. 5 seconds of summer also comes from their eponymous debut album reached number 1 in the Billboard charts, selling 259,000 copies in its first week.
